Your clipboard stays yours
This policy explains what Clypy captures, what stays local, and what limited information is used to operate licenses and purchases.
Clipboard content
Clypy captures clips on your devices so you can search and paste them later. Clip content is encrypted on-device before sync. We do not have the keys needed to read synced clip content.
Local intelligence
Semantic search, OCR, classification, and secret detection are designed to run locally on your hardware. Your clips are not used to train models.
Sync and pairing
Devices pair directly using keys exchanged between your devices. When relay sync is needed, servers pass encrypted data they cannot decrypt.
Purchases and licenses
When you buy Clypy, payment processors provide purchase, receipt, and license metadata needed to deliver a key, prevent abuse, and manage refunds.
Secrets
Copies from password managers are excluded where platforms allow it. Detected secrets are concealed and can auto-expire from history.
Deletion
Deleting your history removes local data and instructs paired devices to remove synced copies. Local-first data remains under your control.
